In January 2022, an adventure launched with a blueprint for an expansion to the established End of the Commons General Store, which celebrated its 41st anniversary under the ownership of the Schaden family. Eli Miller’s Harness Shop, a former local staple for leather goods, turned a new leaf and eventually became Clarksville Sweets: a candy store dedicated to in-house confections, chocolates, and treats. The storefront received its name from the Clarks, a historical family that were among the first settlers in the Mesopotamia area.
